The story so far
What we know about Rayman Legends Retold
Rayman Legends Retold is a remake of the 2013 platformer Rayman Legends, published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Montpellier together with Ubisoft Milan. It reimagines the Glade of Dreams adventure with new content and narrative twists. Players run, jump and fight through side-scrolling worlds alone or in up to four-player local co-op, as Rayman, Globox, Barbara and Grand Minimus.
The Steam page lists a new sixth realm and four new musical stages, where the action is timed to the soundtrack, plus dragon-ride sequences, Cave of Trials challenges and the Kung Foot competitive mode with improved controls. Cinematics are voiced, and the music is credited to Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope. Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is included with the game.
The release date was first set for 1 October 2026 and was moved to 3 December 2026 on 14 September, with the developers saying the game had gone gold but they wanted extra time to polish it. It is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC. On Steam, pre-purchase is open at €39.99 for the Standard edition and €49.99 for Deluxe, and pre-ordering gives the Hoodlum Havoc Pack with two Rayman 3-inspired costumes. The PC minimum is a Core i3-8100 or Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT.
