What we know about Alien Deathstorm
Alien Deathstorm is a first-person action horror game developed and published by Rebellion, the studio behind Sniper Elite and Atomfall and the original Aliens vs Predator. It was revealed in late March 2026 and is set on an off-world colony devastated by a cataclysmic mega-storm and overrun by aliens. The player is cast as a highly trained first responder sent to find out why the colony has fallen silent and to save as many lives as possible.
Reporting on the reveal describes a hybrid of action shooting and tense exploration, with the storm acting as an escalating environmental threat on top of the alien swarm. The look is inspired by 1980s sci-fi films, with chunky, lived-in machinery rather than modern technology. A Reactor mission, in which the player retrieves a Fission Initiator from a malfunctioning reactor, was shown at Gamescom 2026.
No exact release date has been announced. Coverage of the Gamescom trailer points to spring 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series and PC, and the game is reported to come to Xbox Game Pass.
