Simulation on PS5 covers everything from cosy management sims to hardcore racing and flight models, and the console's fast SSD and DualSense controller suit both ends of that range. Builders, farmers, pilots and drivers all have strong options, although some PC favourites arrive with trimmed-down features. The picks below show what simulation games do best on PlayStation 5.
1. Two Point Museum#
Two Point Studios released Two Point Museum in March 2025, and it is the most inventive entry in its hospital-and-campus series. You build and run museums, send expeditions to remote biomes to collect fossils, artefacts and curios, and keep visitors, staff and exhibits happy. The jokes are sharp, the building tools work well on a controller, and the mix of discovery and management is very moreish. Mid-game it leans on repeated expeditions, and series veterans may find the difficulty gentle. Still the best pure management sim on the platform.
2. Gran Turismo 7#
Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 7 arrived in March 2022 and remains the console's benchmark driving simulator. The cars are lovingly modelled, the physics reward smooth driving, and the DualSense adaptive triggers make braking feel convincing. The Cafe menu book campaign teaches car culture in a way no other racer does, and the Scapes photo mode is a joy. The online-tied economy was criticised at launch, and it is less hardcore than dedicated sims. A superb entry point for anyone who loves cars.
3. Assetto Corsa Competizione#
Kunos Simulazioni built Assetto Corsa Competizione around the official GT World Challenge championship, and the PS5 version launched in February 2022. Its tyre model, weather and sound design make GT3 cars feel alive and unforgiving, and racing against others online is tense when the lobby is disciplined. Force feedback on a wheel is where it shines most. Content is narrow, with GT3 and GT4 style racing only, and the career is bare-bones. For serious sim racers it is the most authentic option on the console.
4. Satisfactory#
Coffee Stain Studios brought Satisfactory to PS5 in November 2025, developed together with FishLabs. You land on an alien planet and build sprawling factories in first person, routing conveyor belts, power and transport to automate ever more complex products. Controller support is well thought out, and co-op is supported. The fascination lies in optimising your production lines until everything hums. It has a steep learning curve and long sessions, so anyone who dislikes spreadsheet-style planning should look elsewhere.
5. Farming Simulator 22#
Giants Software released Farming Simulator 22 in November 2021, and it is the series at its most welcoming. You run a farm with realistic machinery from major brands, grow crops through the seasons, manage livestock and expand a business. The introduction of seasons and production chains made the loop richer, and multiplayer lets friends share a farm. It is slow and repetitive by design, and handling big machines with a controller takes practice, but it is deeply relaxing when it clicks.
6. Two Point Hospital#
Two Point Hospital began on PC in 2018 as a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, and it reached PS5 in September 2026 as the Full Health Collection with its downloadable content included. You design clinics, hire staff and treat absurd illnesses with a cheerful British sense of humour. The management is approachable and the learning curve is friendly. It feels a little simpler than the newer Museum, and some later levels repeat ideas. A warm, funny classic.
7. PowerWash Simulator 2#
FuturLab's PowerWash Simulator 2 launched in October 2025 and refines the oddly meditative cleaning formula of the original. You blast grime off buildings, vehicles and playgrounds, with abseiling and scissor lifts opening up new surfaces, and up to four people can play together online with shared progress, or in split-screen. The satisfaction of a clean surface is real. It is a gentle, repetitive game, and anyone wanting tension or challenge will find it too calm.
8. Disney Dreamlight Valley#
Gameloft Montreal's Disney Dreamlight Valley reached PS5 in December 2023 and is a cosy life sim in the vein of Animal Crossing. You restore a magical valley, befriend Disney and Pixar characters, cook, fish, decorate and unlock new realms. It is charming and endlessly customisable, with plenty of content. It is aimed squarely at fans of Disney, some tasks can feel grindy, and the in-game shop may put off some players.
9. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time#
Level-5 released Fantasy Life i in May 2025, blending a life sim with a light action RPG. You choose among many Lives, such as woodcutter, miner, angler or alchemist, and build up a character and a home in a bright, storybook world. The mix of crafting, exploring and cute storytelling is warm and approachable. It plays more like an RPG than a pure simulator in places, and some systems, such as menu-heavy crafting, need patience.
10. Anno 1800#
Ubisoft Blue Byte's Anno 1800 reached PS5 in March 2023, bringing the city-builder to consoles. You build an industrial-age empire of workers, engineers and investors, balancing supply chains across islands and trading routes. The city-building is deep and rewarding, and the console interface is a serious effort at controller play. It is still a complex game, with a slow opening and a fiddlier interface than mouse and keyboard.
11. Jurassic World Evolution 2#
Frontier Developments released Jurassic World Evolution 2 in November 2021 and improved on its predecessor with a story campaign and the Chaos Theory mode, which replays what-if scenarios from the films. You build parks, manage dinosaurs, security and guests, and the creatures look spectacular. Habitat and park design is more flexible than before. Dinosaur behaviour can feel scripted, and the later parks become routine. A fine pick for dinosaur fans who like management.
12. Football Manager 2024#
Sports Interactive's Football Manager 2024 was published by Sega and is available on PS5 in a console edition with a more streamlined interface. You take charge of a club, handle tactics, transfers and finances, and live with the consequences. It remains unmatched for depth in football management. The console edition trims some features found on PC, and the sheer amount of information can overwhelm newcomers.
13. SnowRunner#
Saber Interactive's SnowRunner, published by Focus Home Interactive, came to PS5 in May 2022. You haul cargo in heavy trucks across mud, snow and rivers where every slope is a puzzle, using winches and careful tyre choices. The terrain physics is its biggest strength, and co-op makes the hard jobs more fun. Progress can be slow and unforgiving, and some players will tire of the repeated recovery work.
14. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024#
Asobo Studio brought Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 to PS5 in December 2025, the first time the series appeared on PlayStation. It offers up to 125 aircraft at launch, more than 40,000 airports and a career mode, with a world that covers the whole planet. A flight over a beautiful landscape is unforgettable. Reception has been mixed, with long loading, bugs and a steep learning curve, but it is unmatched for scope.
15. Car Mechanic Simulator 2021#
Red Dot Games' Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 lets you run a garage, taking apart and rebuilding engines bolt by bolt. You buy cars at auctions, restore them and sell them on, with thousands of parts and more than seventy vehicles to work on. It is wonderfully tactile for anyone curious about how a car works. The menus are clunky, the work gets repetitive, and a controller is less precise than a mouse.
